hi there!

I'm Morgan, the woman behind the sweets.

I've always had a passion for baking since I was a child. It was my dream to own my own bakery someday. Fast forward many years, and it was time to start working. I began gaining experience at bakeries all around Pittsburgh. I attended Steel Center in high school to study Baking and Pastry Arts, and then made my way to the Big Apple to further my education at the Institute of Culinary Education. After finishing school and returning home, I decided to keep working to perfect my skills.

After six years of working for others, I felt it was time to become my own boss. In December of 2020, I took the leap and started Icing on the Cake, not knowing it would grow to be as busy as it is today! Whether you're here for a custom cake or simply to indulge in a sweet treat, I’m so happy you’ve chosen to be a part of this dream come true.

Fun fact: I don't like cake or icing, but of course, I taste test everything that goes out my door (and onto your table).
